S2 58 feedback

We really liked the varied shots they were affective and kept the sequence interesting and didn't give to much away. Liked the use of red and black contrasting one another within the titles. Overall really good thriller!!

Class feedbacks for final

After everyone in the class watched our final piece, we have gathered many different feedbacks:
- Spelling of Guilty- 'Gulity'
- Good music that builds tension
- Variety of different camera shots
- Lots of titles, looks good but for it to be more professional it needs some work
- Slow transitions also creates tension
- How did he get into the house???

titles

we had lots of trouble trying to place our titles within our piece, we didnt know whether or not there was an order to put our titles in, or if they are supposed to be in order of heirachy. we then looked at some other peoples projects, and asked tom, and now we think that our titles are in the right order, and they all come in at the right time, and in the right place.

music

we have had a problem with our music, because we havnt been able to figure out what sort of music best suits our piece. i still dont think that what we've got suits our piece, but we cant figure out what would sound good.

finally!!! we have a name!!!

lamo and i have been pondering over a name for ur piece for agesss..... now we have one............... GUILTY CONMCIENCE............ TA DAAAAAA...

why rough cut isnt as we said it would be..

our original plans were to film at around 5.30pm, however this didnt got through as niether me or a lamo were available at that time, and then lamo had a bit of a problem with his leg, and i proved unreliable as ever with picking up the camera, and then forgetting what day we were going to film! sorry! we then ended up filming around 2 in the afternoon, so our piece isnt as dark and sinister as we hoped it would be, but i think it still has the desired 'thrilling' effect on the audience.

roughcut feedback

'very good, needs more fitting music.'
'i liked it, it's very accurate, kept to exactly how i remember the storyboard.'
'the best one i've seen so far.'
'poor continuous editing.'
'the music fits well with the piece.'
'need to see more of the mystery man.'
'some good shots, need to see more of the mystery man.'

from these comments, we are going to change what we've got so far to meet the expectations of the class. but all in all we thought that we received some good, encouraging comments from the rest of the class.

filming

lamo and i filmed on wednesday the 6th of february. the filming took us about three hours, although i think we could have taken a bit longer on it so we could have had more clips, but i think what we have is sufficient.

we filmed quite alot, but the majority of it wasnt relevant for our piece, so quite alot of it was gotten rid of, but we kept to the storyboard as best we could, and the only bits we couldnt get were the mirror shots from inside the car, as niether me or lamo drive, but we comprimised and filmed the shots from inside the car but at different angles.

once the filming was complete, we watched it all over again and decided what we were going to keep, and what we wernt going to keep. all in all, filming day went well.

shooting shedule:

me and lamo are going to shoot on wednesday the 6th of february. we are going to shoot at about 5:30 pm, so it will be near twilight. we want to shoot at this time because we think it is the most sinister and eerie time in the day, and it would be good to film at around this time to make our thriller as thrilling as possible.
we are also going to shoot all our shots in order they appear on the storyboard, we are going to do this because we want to save confusion and keep eveything in the right order.

location plan:

we have planned to film our piece at lamos house. lamos house would be ideal because it involves the right places to take the shots so that they can be inkeeping with our storyboard.
we are also going to use the street where lamo lives so we can get the shots that are in the car. we are also going to use lamos step bmrother to be in our piece, but only as the driver of the car, you will never see him.

some of the ideas we had for a location for our piece was my house, or one of our friends houses that look similar to our storyboard.
